While many of the Arab newspapers in Palestine are expressing opposition to the general strike that has been called by the Arab Executive for August 23 to commemorate the outbreak of last year’s riots, “Jamal El Arabia,” the organ of the Grand Mufti, is urging all Arabs to demonstrate by the strike their unity and desire for liberty and independence.
