An organization of Orthodox Congregations of Los Angeles has been formed here with the purpose of establishing standards of Kashruth, fostering better care of the Talmud Torahs, and improving facilities for the education of the Jewish youth, under the name of “Federation of Jewish Organizations.”

Presidents and delegates from seventeen synagogues, under the leadership of Philip Stein, one of the pioneer Jewish citizens of Los Angeles, formed the nucleus of the organization. Moses Tannenbaum, president of the Sinai Congregation, was elected to the chairmanship of the group.
