Pioneer Montana Jew Dies in Helena at 72

David Marks, 72, veteran political leader of Montana, is dead. Mr. Marks came up the Missouri River by steamboat shortly after the Civil War, and was one of Montana’s best known pioneer citizens. At the time of his death he was secretary of the Democratic state Central Committee. He had been active in politics during his entire residence here.
