Thanks to the intercession of the Jewish Labor member of the Canadian parliament, A. A. Heaps of Winnipeg, a serious fist fight between two Liberal deputies on the floor of the House of Commons was avoided after one had punched the other. General Sir Eugene Pizet had made a remark about Pierre Cosgren, which the latter resented so much that he went up to the General and struck him. Mr. Heaps quickly went up to them and tore the two struggling M. P.’s apart.
