Rabbi Benjamin Tintner of New York City has just been elected state chaplain of the American Legion, Department of New York, at the closing session of its annual convention here.

This gives the two largest New York State veterans’ associations Jewish chaplains, as the Veterans of Foreign Wars of New York State have for some time had Rabbi Emanuel J. Jack of Yonkers in that office, cooperating in his selection as national chaplain at the national convention in Baltimore, Md.
