For the first time in the history of the Jewish community, a rabbi has been invited to speak before the Reform and Orthodox congregations during the Jewish high holidays.

Rabbi Julian Greifer, executive director of the Jewish Community Center here, will speak before the congregation of the Hebrew Reform Society on the first day of Rosh Hashanah; at the Sons of Israel synagogue, orthodox, on the second day and before the congregation of the Agudath Achim on Yom Kippur.

Rabbi Greifer’s policy is to unify the diversified religious elements in Binghamton. Plans are being completed to organize a city-wide school system with branches in all sections of the city.
