Forty of the chief leaders of the anti-Semitic National-Socialist Party of Germany, which has just won a great victory in the German Reichstag elections, have at one time or another been sentenced to jail for various serious crimes, such as thievery, attacks upon women, etc., according to an article in the Jewish Morning Journal written by Gedaliah Bublick, president of the Mizrachi Zionists, who recently spent some time in Germany.
Describing the agitation which the Hitlerites have been carrying on during the past few months, Mr. Bublick says:
“The anti-Semitic election campaign was conducted in such a stormy fashion as could previously have been foreseen by no one. It was a great surprise to the other parties in Germany, and certainly to the Jews, who could never have believed that the Hitler movement would show much strength.”
