Anti-Semitism has no chance of success in Czecho-Slovakia, Foreign Minister Benes told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here today in connection with the recent anti-German and anti-Semitic outbreaks in Prague. It would be a mistake to consider the disturbances as anti-Semitic, Dr. Benes declared. The reasons and motives behind the occurrences were connected with domestic politics, Dr. Benes explained, adding that irresponsible elements succeeded in inciting a part of the populace. Nevertheless, the Foreign Minister said, the government had taken immediate and energetic measures to reestablish order and it would under no circumstances tolerate a repetition of the disorders.
