“The British government’s pro-Arab statement of policy is merely a political move designed to create permanent animosity between the Jews and Arabs in Palestine in order that Great Britain may keep Palestine forever,” the important organ of the Egyptian Wafd (Nationalists), Missr, today declares. “The British government is not interested in establishing peace in Palestine as constant quarrels are always for her benefit, as any student of British colonial policy will testify,” the paper says.
