More than fifty per cent of the annual Community Chest campaign, this year for a quota of $1,344,492, now in progress here, has already been achieved. The local Conference of Jewish Charities is one of the important constituents of the Chest. Louis Bamberger has again achieved the distinction of being the largest individual donor to the campaign, having pledged $30,000. The department store of L. Bamberger & Co. pledged the sum of $25,000.
