There was one Christmas celebration in the only all-Jewish city in the world on Christmas Day, and that celebration was tendered officially by the administration of the city to the British troops quartered here.

Mayor Dizengoff presided at the dinner and entertainment provided for the troopers, offering them traditional Jewish hospitality for their Christmas feast. Several of the officers replied, thanking the Jewish administration for their display of true “Christmas spirit.’
