Bavarian farmers and slaughterers have presented a petition to the Bavarian Diet asking it to repeal the bill prohibiting Shechita which has been enacted by the Bavarian Parliament, because it means a heavy financial loss for them. The prohibition of Shechita in Bavaria means an annual loss of 13 million Marks in turnover to them, they estimate, and of about million Marks in wages alone.
