The Government is using “Czaristic tactics” in rounding up and deporting aliens, Senator Robert F. Wagner, of New York, complained to-day, demanding that the Secretary of Labour should restrict his agents to legal methods.

Mr. Doak, the Secretary of Labour and Immigration, states in reply that all aliens illegally here, estimated at 100,000, must go. The United States is no longer a haven for political refugees from foreign countries, he says, suggesting that many of the Italians who fled to America in years past could be found to-day at the bottom of Chicago Racketeering.
