Boris Thomashefsky, Yiddish actor, is now touring the Jewish summer resorts and is presenting a musical show, “You and I,” for the benefit of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society of America (Hias). In the cast supporting Mr. Thomashefsky are Madame Regina Zuckerman, Louis Kramer and Aaron Thomashefsky, his son. Robert D. Shapiro is managing the company. Mr. Thomashefsky, who has just returned from a European tour during which he saw the work done by Hias on behalf of Jewish emigrants, has given up his summer vacation to present this show for the benefit of Hias. “You and I,” the musical numbers for which have been composed by Goldfaden, Rumshinsky, Friedzel and Elstein, will be produced in New York City this winter.
