The Executive Council of the English Zionist Federation at its meeting to-day unanimously decided to recommend to the Annual Conference the election of Dr. Chaim Weizmann as President of the Zionist Federation. Dr. Eder, the present President of the Federation, stated that he had approached Dr. Weizmann, who had consented to accept the nomination.
Dr. Weizmann, who is now Honorary President of the English Zionist Federation, is also a former President, having been elected to this office by the Annual Conference of the Federation held early in 1917 when he was engaged in the efforts, together with Mr. Sokolov, the present President of the Jewish Agency, which in November of that year brought about the publication of the Balfour Doclaration.
