Addressing the Jewish settlers in the Jordan Valley at a reception given in his honour to-day in the Jewish colony of Dagania, Lord Reading said that the National Home will grow in strength as it has been growing and the settlers and also their children will enjoy the security which they richly deserve.

Dr. Arlossoroff, member of the Jewish Agency Executive, welcomed Lord and Lady Reading in the name of the Jewish Agency. Mr. Joseph Baratz, speaking on behalf of the Palestine Workers’ Organisation, complained that there was no assurance that the Jewish effort in Palestine could continue without fear of being undermined and subjected to attack, his reference being to the anti-Jewish incitement during the recent Moslem Conference in Jerusalem.
