Latvia is treating its own sons worse than the lands where the Jews have acquired their education. Hundreds of Jewish young men and women who left Latvia after the war and stormed the universities of Italy, France, Germany and Czechoslovakia fare worse at the hands of their native land than they did in the foreign countries of their education.
The larger portion of the affected Jewish professionals do not come from wealthy parents. The majority of them worked their way through college in factories and even in coal mines.
