The disturbed situation in Tunisia, where on July 25th, the Jewish community of Sfax was attacked by Arabs, brought another anti-Jewish outburst, this time in Soukahras, according to information which reached Paris yesterday.
An Arab crowd, estimated at 500, stormed a Jewish printing plant. When repulsed by the police, they started sacking Jewish stores. Military forces were called out and succeeded in dispersing the throng.
There were no casualties and little damage was caused.
The civil and military authorities, consisting of both Frenchmen and natives, are lauded by the Jews for their prompt action.
