Police seized documents here today revealing the existence of a Palestine Committee which is mobilizing immigrants for Bira Bidjan, the Far Eastern District of Soviet Russia where an autonomous Jewish region is to be established in 1933.
The documents, it is stated, reveal that the names of 300 prospective candidates for Bira Bidjan settlement were submitted of which 140 were approved.
