Typhoid fever is making alarming inroads among the poor sections of the Jewish community here, it was learned today.

Several deaths from typhoid fever are reported daily and the alarming spread of the disease is laid to the door of the mounting poverty and the general hunger from which the poorer section of the Jewish population suffers.
