Jewess Youngest Girl to Get Cologne Degree

Ruth Gruber, a twenty-year-old Jewish girl of Brooklyn, is the youngest girl to be awarded a doctorate at the University of Cologne.

Miss Gruber received a degree of Ph.D. from the University of Cologne, winning it in one year. She was sent to the Cologne institution as an exchange student. She returned to this country on the “St. Louis.”
