The Republicans searching for Jewish blood among the Nazi leaders to confound their Germanic pure-race dogmas have scored another success, by revealing the Jewish origin of Dr. Wolfgang Saalfeldt, the Nazi district leader at Eutin, in Holstein.
Dr. Saalfeldt brought a libel action against the local leader of the Tannenberg League, but was unable to dispute the proofs brought forward of his Jewish origin, which were accepted by the court, in dismissing his action.
The Germanic leader in Eutin is the illegitimate son of the Jewess, Cecilia Saalfeldt, the “Montag Morgen” satirically comments, and she was the daughter of Itzig Saalfeldt, a Jew of Posen. Itzig Saalfeldt’s grandson just wandered across from Germany’s Polish frontier to her Danish frontier. What becomes now of the pure-blood theory of the Holstein Nazis?
