Declaring that there is no racial purity, Otto Forst de Battaglia, well known Austrian writer, declares in a new book, “Secrets of the Blood,” that many royal families have Jewish blood in their veins.

Esther Shapiro, he asserts, daughter of a vice-chancellor of Peter the Great of Russia, brought Jewish blood into twenty royal families. Among them he lists the Chigis, hereditary marshalls of the Roman Catholic Church, the Polish royal families of Lubomirski, Potocki and Lanckoronski; and the Dukes of Holstein.

One tenth of high Austrian society has Jewish blood in its veins, he declares, through marriages with Pereiras, Arnstein, Henigstein and others.
