“jewish Current Events” Makes First Appearance Today

The first issue of the Jewish youth weekly, “Jewish Current Events,” published by the Jewish Daily Bulletin, made its appearance today under the editorship of David J. Galter.

The magazine, in an eight-page format, contains greetings from Professor Albert Einstein and a number of news and feature stories relating to Jewish events, prepared for the consumption of children.

The first issue of the magazine, under the auspices of the Jewish Daily Bulletin, is commended by leading Jewish personalities throughout the world.

In addition to Professor Albert Einstein, messages of felicitation have been received from Jacob Wasserman, distinguished German novelist; Claude G. Montefiore of London, noted theologian and philanthropist; Oscar Wasserman of Germany, director of “Der Deutsche Bank” and chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Agency for Palestine ; Lily H. Montague, daughter of the late Lord Swaythling, who is a leader of Liberal Judaism and a founder of the World Union for Progressive Judaism ; Chief Rabbi A. I. Kook of Palestine ; Judge Horace Stern of Philadelphia ; President Judge of Common Pleas Court, No. 2; Morris Rothenberg, President of the Zionist Organization of America ; Rabbi Samuel Schulman of Temple Emanu-el, New York ; Morris Newfield, President of the Central Conference of American Rabbis ; Rabbi William F. Rosenblum of Temple Israel of New York, Chairman of the Teacher’s Conference Committee of the Greater New York Committee of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, and others.
