The fall of Chancellor Franz von Papen, who together with his entire cabinet submitted his resignation to President von Hindenburg last night, is causing considerable anxiety in Jewish circles.
The National Socialists will have a leading part in the new cabinet which President von Hindenburg is seeking to form, it is believed, and in this eventuality, the Nazis will carry out their plans of depriving the Jews of their rights and inciting against the Jewish population, it is feared.
Chancellor Franz von Papen and his entire cabinet resigned after the Chancellor’s attempt to secure support in the new Reichstag had been refused by the leaders of all the parties with the exception of the Nationalists, the German People’s and the Bavarian People’s Parties.

cellor that he would communicate with him only in writing and that the only person whom he would consent to meet in a personal interview is President von Hindenburg. President von Hindenburg is expected to receive Hitler tomorrow.
