Burma Jew Gets High Award for Services

Mr. E. Meyer, prominent in Jewish affairs in Burma, has been presented with the Kaiser-I-Hind Medal in recognition of his public services.

Mr. Meyer, who is an honorary magistrate, is the second Jew in Burma to have this distinction conferred upon him.

The Cochin government has appointed Solomon Hallegue honorary magistrate for Cochin. Another Jew, M. N. Yashua, has received a similar honor in Ernakuluam.
