President Charles L. O’Donnell of Notre Dame University, South Bend, Ind., announces the appointment of Dr. Maurice H. Goldbatt of Chicago, a distinguished art expert, as director of the art gallery of the university.

The university has one of the best collections of old masters in the country. Dr. Goldblatt won international renown and has been decorated by the French government for his discoveries in the Louvre on a visit to Paris several years ago. He also is a musician of note.
