At a special meeting of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations held yesterday, William Weiss, the President, presiding, it was decided to “call upon all the 1,800 congregations affiliated with the Union to range themselves behind the protest of the American Jewish Congress on Monday, and to cooperate with the meetings arranged for Monday evening.”
They also sent a telegram to Secretary of State Hull, asking that the Executive order of Sept. 8, 1930 be rescinded.
