Considerable anxiety has been caused among the Jewish working classes of Bombay by the announcement that the mills belonging to the E. D. Sassoon group are closing down, for Jews form a large proportion of the workers. It is hoped that measures will be found to enable the mills to continue their work, as otherwise a large number of Jewish workers will lose their jobs and be added to the growing number of the unemployed.
