Two Jewish Leaders Die in Bucharest

Ex-Senator Elly Berkowitz, and M. Schweig, one the former president, and the other the founder of the organized Jewish community here, died here yesterday. Senator Berkowitz was a leader of the liberal party and a well known banker. He was sixty-eight years old.

M. Schweig, who acted as secretary of the Jewish community, was fifty years old. He was the editor of the “Israelite Courier.”
