The law prohibiting mixed marriages, whose enactment had been predicted, was officially announced today at the press conference in Dortmund by Dr. Brauss, director of the “Racial Department” of the Nazi government. The law, forbidding Aryans to marry persons of Jewish extraction, under severe penalty for both parties to the marriage, will shortly be promulgated, Dr. Brauss announced. Its aim, he said, is the “preservation of the race.”
