Jewish Girl Honored at California University

To a young Jewish student of San Francisco has gone the honor of being selected as commencement speaker at the University of California exercises to be held Saturday. She is Miss Eleanor Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Morris, of this city.

When a freshman, Miss Morris was awarded one of the Kraft Scholarships, given to the 50 freshmen students receiving the highest scholastic standing. In her junior year she was elected to Theta Sigma Phi, national women’s honorary journalistic society. In her senior year she was chosen an associate editor of the Daily Californian, student newspaper.

She was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa, national college honor society.
