The conference of Transjordanian nationalists for action against Jewish settlements in the region, which was scheduled to take place at Essalt yesterday, was not held because of sharp clashes between the organizers of the conference and their opponents. Several were wounded in the dispute. As a result, the conference has been postponed until June 5.

A delegation representing Transjordanian inhabitants called upon Emir Abdullah, ruler of Transjordania, and complained of widespread starvation among the people. Emir Abdullah promised to ask the British Government for help.
