Through the efforts of the actors Isaac Deitsch and Esther Perlman, a permanen Yiddish theatrical company has been established here, and for over two months has been producing plays by Sholem Aleichem and I. D. Berkowitz.
Before the formation of the new company, Sao Paulo was dependent on visiting troupes from Europe and the United States for Yiddish performances.
