Dr. Abraham Schechter, orthodox rabbi of Adath Yeshurun Congregation here, who recently declined re-election to his congregation, last night was tendered a big farewell reception, attended by more than one thousand persons.
Outstanding rabbis, the mayor and communal leaders took part in the reception. Dr. Schechter is founder and chancellor of the Texas rabbinical organization, Kallah.
