The musical world will cooperate in contributing to a Defense Fund Against Hitlerite Persecution of the Jews in Germany, the American Jewish Congress has announced.

The funds will go to the Million-Dollar Emergency Defense Fund of which Geroge Gordon Battle, Judge Victor J. Dowling and Sidney Hillman are the honorary co-chairm##.

Bernard S. Deutsch, president of the American Jewish Congress, made it known that the Commonwealth Grand Opera Company, which opens a summer series of open air grand opera at the Washington Heights Stadium tomorrow, will contribute a percentage of the proceeds of its first two weeks of performance to the Fund which is being raised for the Defense of Jewish Rights.

The Commonwealth Grand Opera Company will present a series of operas at popular prices ranging from 25 to 75 cents.
