A court in Mendub, Tangiers, sentenced a Jewish Moroccan subject to six years in jail for striking a Moorish subject, it was reported here from Tangiers yesterday. The assault had led to disorders and for a while it was feared that anti-Semitic rioting would result, but this never materialized. In spite of the fact that no serious incidents followed the assault, the Jew was sentenced to six years in a Moroccan prison.
