The Rabbinate of Warsaw, Poland, has sent the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society of America a letter expressing its gratitude for the society’s work in behalf of Jewish travelers. The letter, addressed to Abraham Herman, president of the society, at headquarters, 425 Lafayette Street, said in part:

“We deem it our sacred duty to give expression to our deep sense of gratitude for the help which your institution is rendering to the wandering and suffering Jews who have to bear the burden of the Goluth. We pray to the Almighty to grant you continued strength and ability further to carry on your life-saving activities.”
