The new harbor at Haifa well be opened to all commerce and shipping on August 1, it was officially announced here today.
The harbor will make the approach to Haifa one of the finest among the famous of the Mediterranean ports dominated by “Carmel, the Majestic.”
Improvements installed will greatly facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo at the harbor. Thirty watchmen have already been hired for the new customs area which will be opened tomorrow.
