As a result of the intervention of Rabbis Solomon Reichman and Louis Predmesky, the date of examinations of New York University students has been changed so as not to conflict with the Jewish High Holidays.

In a letter to the Rabbis, Charles P. Barry, director of the summer term, declared that the date for the examinations which had been set through a misunderstanding had been changed and that the University would always respect the religious obligations of the students. New York University has several thousand Jewish students.
