Chancellor Dollfuss of Austria declared in an interview with the press here last night “that the Christian character of man is more important than his race. I look upon Austria as one unit. I think we must look to the soul of man and not to his race or nationality.”

His statement was made after one of his interviewers had queried him on the Jewish question in Austria.
