Judge Harry M. Fisher, chairman of Jewish Day at A Century of Progress, the Chicago World’s Fair, reported here today that net profits totaling $117,278.33 from the production of the pageant, “The Romance of a People,” were being divided among organizations taking part.
Participating organizations share $75,247.01, according to his report. The American Palestine Campaign receives $40,031.31; the Century of Progress Surcharge, $11,317.95, and the Jewish Exhibit, Hall of Religion, Century of Progress, $2,000.
Income included $209,898.70 from sale of tickets; $3,684.08 from the second performance; $2,282.94 from the official program, and contributions of $81.50, making a total of $215,947.22.
Promotional expenses, administration and production amounted to $80,182.
