A fight between German nationalist and Social Democratic deputies occurred yesterday on the floor of the National Assembly, the Czechoslovakian parliament, when the German nationalist deputy, Kallina Schollich, assuming a role prohibited the Nazi fraction, ascended the tribune and launched an abusive attack on the Jews. He called for a fight on the Jews and on the “Jewish spirit.”

Deputy Angelo Goldstein, one of the leading members of the Jewish community, replying, retorted, “You anti-Semites lack spirit altogether.” The two men, after a hot interchange of words, came to blows, and Schollich was knocked down by his adversary. Deputy Goldstein later aided his opponent in leaving the hall.
