Hague Denies Einstein Sues Reich for Property

The International Tribunal today denied reports current in the French press that Professor Albert Einstein had brought action against the German government through the Tribunal for the recovery of property recently confiscated by the German government.

Court officials pointed out that the Tribunal could not accept cases of individuals against a sovereign state Only the Swiss government, of which Professor Einstein is a citizen, may bring action against the German government on behalf of Professor Einstein or against any other state of which he may become a national.
