During the ten months ending Oct. 30, 1,877 permits for building 8,224 rooms and 256 shops on an area of 276,901 square metres were issued by the government of the municipality. Last year’s report was 1,115 permits for the construction of 2,265 rooms and 129 shops on 85,868 square metres.
