Strong condemnation of the recent student disturbances was expressed by the government deputy Vary today in the course of a parliamentary debate. Deputy Vary denounced the anti-Semitic student campaign as “a common crime injuring order and the foreign policy of Hungary.’

The Nationalist deputy, Szilinsky, appealed to the government to take energetic measures against the unrestrained Nazi propaganda, particularly in the Danubian provinces, which are under German influence.

Anti-Semitic students attacked a Chanukah celebration at the Geller Hotel in Budapest, insulting the Jewish guests and abusing the police. They bombarded the Jews and the police with snow-balls until police reinforcements arrived and dispersed the mob, arresting five.
