Confirmation of the German government’s intention to deprive German Jews of their citizenship is seen in today’s announcement by the Prussian Ministry of the Interior. The population of Prussia, according to the announcement, is divided in two categories, residents and citizens. In the first category are all those lawfully residing in Prussia. In the latter are all Germans over twenty-five years of age. The Minister stresses the explanation that the new regulations are being issued pending the conversion of citizens into residents.
