First prize in the finals of the annual speaking contest for promoting Americanism was won by Ida C. Karnoffsky, five time winner, who delivered Woodrow Wilson’s address to newly naturalized citizens. The contests are sponsored by the Edward and Matilda Warner Fund, composed of Mr. Warner, chairman, Mrs. Charles Bock and Rachel Metzger Bock. Second and third prizes went to Eunice Lent and Edith Bergman. Judges were Alfred M. Saperston, Samuel Schanzer and Sidney B. Pfeifer.
