The Revisionist petitiontends to undermine the policy of the Jewish Agency for Palestine and far from being of any political value, tends to predidice the best interest of the Jewish Natonal Home, a statement issued this evening by the executive of the Jewish Agency declared.
”The Jewish Agency for Palestine is the soly body reccognized under the Mandate as representing the Jewish interests in the establish-ment of the Jewish National Home, and the Revisionist Union can in no senue arrogate to itself such rights,” the Agency statement said.
Recently the Revistionist Union, central organization of the Revisionists, right wing Zionists, and nounced that a gigantic petition to be signed by Jews all over the world protesting the immigration policy of the Palestine administration would be presented to the League of Nations, accompanied by a scheme for the reform of the Maandate on Revisionist principles.
The executive emphasized that petition govement is ”wholly without the support or approval of the Ziomist authorities and stands in defiamce of the decision of the Egheenth Zinist Congrees, and is therefore also contrary to the Zonist constitution.”
The Agency statement after explaining its actions undertaken in connection with the political situation, declares that it is directiong all energies particularly to extend Palestine Jewish immigration to a maximum capacity, but it is ”only for the Jewish Agency to decide, both from the legal viewpint and intimate knowlege of the details, what steps to take at each juncture fore achieving the Zionist aims.”, the statement declared.
The Agency executive further stressed that while it exercises its rightful duty to criticize the government whenever the circumstances demand critcism, the Jewish Agency based its policy on relations of ”mutual cooperation between the Mandatory and the Jews.”
”The Zonist Organization and the Jewish Agency are confident”, teh statement concludes, ”that Jews will not be misled by empty gestures”, and calls upon world Jewry to ”continue constructive efforts for the uphuilding of Palestine.”
