The official Austrian Telegraphic Agency yesterday quoted The Osservatore Romano, official organ of the Vatican, to the effect that orders have been issued to the German Catholics banning racial anti-Semitic literature in the German Catholic churches.

The Vatican, it is said, ordred the Catholic Bishops to prohibit the reading of Theodor Fritsch’s “Handbook on the Jewish Problem” in churches. Catholic public libraries were ordered to remove all such books.
